The beauty and the beast of Wooden boats

I had a wooden boat when I was into sailing, it was a pig to keep in good condition. I bought it off the headmaster of the school where I worked.I was a lovely boat, an Enterprise and I used to sail it on the tiny reservoir in Banbury. I took it to Ireland with me when we left England and I sailed it a couple of times on the nearby lakes. Also took it and sailed off a beach in the west of Ireland during a family holiday. In the end I sold the Enterprise because it was so much work to maintain and I wished that I had bought a fibreglass boat in the first place. It did look really nice though with a ‘Swallows and Amazons’ kind of beauty. Seeing this wooden boat today in the harbour of St. Feliu de Guixols had me reminiscing about good times I had sailing a good few years back.
